Fishing Lures
come in all types, sizes, and color, just like the anglers who have been trying to outsmart these water creatures for thousands of years.

Plastic Baits are available in countless size and colors and resemble worms, minnows and crayfish.

Spinners have one or more blades that spin around a straight wire shaft.  Spinnerbaits have one or more blades that spin around a safety pin type shaft.

Popper and Flies are small lures used with spincast and fly fishing tackle.

Make Your Own Fish Bait

Some anglers get as much satisfaction from making their own fish bait as the catch.  Here’s a great recipe from Sean in Ohio for catching that record breaking catfish.

  • garlic powder
  • dehydrated onion
  • italian seasoning
  • coffee grounds
  • old ham or any other meat
  • pickle juice
  • maple syrup
  • half a potato
  • 1 slice of bread
  1. tear bread up into medium bowl
  2. add flour
  3. pour in red cream soda
  4. add all other ingredients and stir
  5. put in 5-gallon bucket
  6. let set until time to fish adding new mixture each week
